It is the righteous that shall inherit the earth.
The wicked shall have no part of the blessings of the Lord whatsoever.
They have no claim on any of it.

Today's Daily Verse is found in Proverbs 10.30

"The [consistently] righteous shall never be removed, but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth [eventually].." - Amplified Version

"The good shall never lose God’s blessings, but the wicked shall lose everything."

The Living Bible Version

Two classes of people explained...

Man usually sees and measures what is happening on the earth today through very narrow and uninformed eyes. This false worldview is explained in Ecclesiastes 9.2

"The same destiny ultimately awaits everyone, whether righteous or wicked, good or bad, ceremonially clean or unclean, religious or irreligious. Good people receive the same treatment as sinners, and people who make promises to God are treated like people who don’t."

and in verse 11

" I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don’t always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time."

This may be the way men see it...but GOD does not!

How does GOD reveal the reality of our future?

Psalms 15

"Who may worship in your sanctuary, Lord? Who may enter your presence on your holy hill?
Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking the truth from sincere hearts.
3 Those who refuse to gossip or harm their neighbors or speak evil of their friends.
4 Those who despise flagrant sinners, and honor the faithful followers of the Lord,
and keep their promises even when it hurts.
5 Those who lend money without charging interest, and who cannot be bribed to lie about the innocent. Such people will stand firm forever.

Psalms 37.22

"Those the Lord blesses will possess the land, but those he curses will die."

Psalms 125.1

"Those who trust in the Lord are as secure as Mount Zion; they will not be defeated but will endure forever."

The righteous, walking steadily in the ways of the Lord, shall never be removed from entering the Kingdom of GOD.

2 Peter 1.5-11

" In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge,

6 and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness,

7 and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone."

8 The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 But those who fail to develop in this way are shortsighted or blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their old sins.

10 So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away.

11 Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."

There is something very powerful here!

GOD is clarifying His standards, and those who are His disciples will be ultimate winners, and will inherit all that "GOD has prepared for those who love Him"

Do not fall into the deception that our status on earth, in this life is measured and determined by those who are the "powerful and influential in this world."

A thousand times "No!"

The wicked may rule now...but:

The wicked shall have no part of the blessings of the Lord whatsoever.

They have no claim on any of GOD's Kingdom.

What is the future for the wicked?

"They shall not inhabit the earth."

  • They shall not just be removed. That is one thing - no, they shall not inhabit the Kingdom of God at all
  • They have no title to the Kingdom of GOD - only the righteous do...

What claim do the righteous have on the future?

Matthew 5.5

"God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth."

1 Corinthians 3.22

"whether Paul or Apollos or Peter, or the world, or life and death, or the present and the future. Everything belongs to you.."

Psalms 37.29

"The godly will possess the land and will live there forever." verse 27 "Turn from evil and do good, and you will live in the land forever."

Psalms 37.22

"Those the Lord blesses will possess the land, but those he curses will die."

1 Corinthians 6.9

"Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality..."

Revelation 21.27

"Nothing evil will be allowed to enter, nor anyone who practices shameful idolatry and dishonesty—but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life."

The future is bright...

There are two worlds.

The present world, and the future world...

We stand to gain or lose both worlds!
