We cannot receive a crown unless we play by the rules, or run lawfully.

Today's Daily Verse is found in Proverbs 23.12 (session 87)

"Apply your heart to instruction, And your ears to the words of knowledge."

Here lies the value of the Bible, as the one source of instruction, and the alone "treasure-house" of the "words of knowledge."

What do the words of knowledge bring to us...

Here is 41 thru 44...

     41. We will receive a "crown" of Glory

  • Proverbs 4.9  "She will give you a garland to grace your head
and present you with a glorious crown.”

We cannot receive a "crown" unless we play by the rules, and run lawfully.

Man was made for this crown; but sin broke the crown

Jesus then received it...

Hebrews 2.7 "Yet you made them only a little lower than the angels
and crowned them with glory and honor."

We should expect others to be crowned with "loving kindness"

Psalms 103.4 "He redeems me from death
and crowns me with love and tender mercies

Do not let any man take your "crown"...

Revelation 3.11 "I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take away your crown."

Yet, one day, we will gladly take our "crown" off and cast it before the Throne...

Revelations 4.10 "the four and twenty elders fall down before Him that sits on the throne, and worship Him that lives for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

     42. Our ways will be established

  • Proverbs 4.26 KJV  "Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established."

Wisdom from above will let is walk "circumspectly"

Ephesians 5.15 "See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,"

That word "circumspectly" means being cautious, prudent, watching all sides, examining carefully all circumstances and consequences of all steps and actions, and pondering.

Snares are everywhere. Each step should be carefully weighed...

Genesis 24.5 "The servant asked, “But what if I can’t find a young woman who is willing to travel so far from home? Should I then take Isaac there to live among your relatives in the land you came from?”

Psalms 39.1 "I said to myself, “I will watch what I do and not sin in what I say.
I will hold my tongue when the ungodly are around me.”

Daniel 1.8 "But Daniel was determined not to defile himself by eating the food and wine given to them by the king. He asked the chief of staff for permission not to eat these unacceptable foods"

Joseph pondered his way...

Genesis 39.9-10 " No one here has more authority than I do. He has held back nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How could I do such a wicked thing? It would be a great sin against God.”

10 She kept putting pressure on Joseph day after day, but he refused to sleep with her, and he kept out of her way as much as possible."

But Peter didn't...

Matthew 26.58,69 "Meanwhile, Peter followed him at a distance and came to the high priest’s courtyard. He went in and sat with the guards and waited to see how it would all end.

"Meanwhile, Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard. A servant girl came over and said to him, “You were one of those with Jesus the Galilean.”

Principles to be explored are found in 1 Kings 13.11-32

     43. We will make right decisions

  • Proverbs 2.9 "He shows how to distinguish right from wrong, how to find the right decision every time" Living Bible

This is possibly the most exciting future we all have - when "wisdom from above" becomes our lifestyle.

The one who made all the right decisions was Jesus Christ as He walked here on earth in His ministry.

There are many wonderful reasons why He was so successful, but the foundational truth is that Jesus did "only what He sees His Father doing" and said only what His Father told Him to say, and only when for it to be said...

We can have that same "mind-set".

The wisdom of GOD is our only access into this lifestyle...

John 5.19 "So Jesus explained, “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does."

John 5.30 "I can do nothing on my own. I judge as God tells me. Therefore, my judgment is just, because I carry out the will of the one who sent me, not my own will."

    44. We will walk in our assignment

We will learn to stay where GOD has assigned us to be, and to do only what He directs us to do. This is a private and personal assignment for which GOD will make each of us fully responsible.

We will be winners.

We will be associated with a top-notch, quality master-plan. GOD alone know where He can use each of us best. When He shuffles things around, and make new assignments, or adjustments - we must "trust" Him. As in changing clothes, there is a sense of vulnerability, but GOD knows what He is doing, and His timing is always perfect...

Submit your talents to GOD and go to work for the increase, but never forget that He gave you the talent in the first place.

It belongs to Him. Our talent, and the increase all belong to His Kingdom...

Dare to let the "wisdom-system" control your life!

Be the one in whom "His heart can trust".

The experience defies description.

Starting tomorrow, we will evaluate each of these 44 further...

Just one a day!

One of the keys I wish to share with you is -

How "Judas" walked with Jesus for three years - but it did not change him. Why?

See you tomorrow...

Kenneth
