Everything is intended to influence the "spiritual heart" and our conduct.

Deuteronomy 29.29

"The Lord our God has secrets known to no one. We are not accountable for them, but we and our children are accountable forever for all that he has revealed to us, so that we may obey all the terms of these instructions."

• no other book is like the Bible
• there is no license to sin within it...
• all lurking sins are brought to light and reproved

Every word of GOD is pure. Of what other book in the world can this be said?

Psalms 12.6

"The Lord’s promises are pure, like silver refined in a furnace, purified seven times over."

Psalms 119.140 gives us great confidence...

"Your promises have been thoroughly tested; that is why I love them so much."

Proverbs 8.8-9

"My advice is wholesome. There is nothing devious or crooked in it. My words are plain to anyone with understanding, clear to those with knowledge."

Everything is under GOD's observation. He has not lost control...

We can embrace GOD's word with confidence knowing that the unlimited presence of GOD watches over His word...

Jeremiah 1.12

"And the Lord said, “That’s right, and it means that I am watching,[a] and I will certainly carry out all my plans.”

Isaiah 55.11 shows that GOD has a purpose -

"So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it."

• I do not have to strive to get GOD to hear me
• GOD is not a man that He should lie

Numbers 23.19

"God is not a man, that He should tell or act a lie, neither the son of man, that He should feel repentance or compunction [for what He has promised]. Has He said and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken and shall He not make it good?"

What should these facts deliver to us?

Confidence...

1 John 5.14-15

"And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. 15 And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.

The best and most exciting promise is this...

2 Chronicles 16.9

"The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him."
